Yammer update user profile

Nintex external platform is required for this feature. For details, see Enable Nintex external platform features.

Updates a user's profile on a Yammer network.

Note: Empty values are used to update the user profile; leaving inputs empty deletes previous information from the user's Yammer profile.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

(unlabeled)	Authorizing user	Specify an email address for the authorization request. External email addresses can be used. Steps in the authorization process On execution of the action, a message is sent to the email address specified for the authorizing user. The message contains the following details. From: notification@nintexlive.com Subject: Contains the phrases "Nintex" and "Request authorization" Contents: Contains links to authorize or deny the operation When the authorizing user clicks the link to authorize the operation, the authorizing user is prompted to do the following. Log in to the external service Allow Nintex to access the external service Decide whether to waive future Nintex authorization requests for this external service When the prompted actions are completed, the action completes. What happens if the operation is never authorized? If the authorization process is not completed, then the workflow suspends. This situation can occur in the following scenarios. The authorizing user explicitly denies the operation, either by clicking the deny link in the email message or not allowing Nintex access to the external service after logging in. Error logged for suspended workflow: “The service request has been denied.” Seven days pass without completion of the authorization process. Either the authorizing user never clicks the authorize link in the email message or the authorizing user initiates the process but does not complete all steps. For example, the authorizing user logs in to the external service but does not allow Nintex to access the external service. Error logged for suspended workflow: “The service request has expired.” Note: All members can update their own profiles but an administrator account is required to update other profiles.
	User email	Specify the email address of the profile to be updated. This account must be in the same network as the authorizing user.

	Bio	Write a summary for the user.
	Job title	Specify the user's job title.
	Location	Specify the user's location.
	Significant other	Specify the user's significant other.
	Kids' names	Specify the user's kids' names.
	Expertise	Specify the user's expertise.
	Interests	Specify the user's interests.
Contact	Work phone	Specify the user's work phone number.
	Extension	Specify the user's work phone extension number.
	Mobile phone	Specify the user's mobile phone number.
	IM provider	Specify an instant messenger (IM) provider.
	IM name	Specify the instant messenger (IM) name.
Education	School	Specify a collection variable for the list of schools.
	Degree/Diploma	Specify a collection variable for the list of degrees or diplomas.
	School description	Specify a collection variable for the list of school descriptions.
	Start year	Specify a collection variable for the list of start years.
	End year	Specify a collection variable for the list of end years.
Work	Employer	Specify a collection variable for the list of employers.
	Position held	Specify a collection variable for the list of prior job titles.
	Job description	Specify a collection variable for the list of descriptions.
	Employment start year	Specify a collection variable for the list of start years.

(unlabeled)	Output	Store output for this action using the following selections. Update successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the update account was successful. Returns "Yes" if the account was updated successfully. How to add and remove output variables Depending on action requirements, you may be able to add and remove output variables. To add an output variable Select an option from the Select more drop-down list. Click Add to display a drop-down list for the selected option. Select a previously defined workflow variable from the drop-down list. To remove an output variable Click Delete (). Note: Some output variables cannot be deleted. For example, the output variable URL for the action Bing news search cannot be deleted.
