Rackspace state management

Manages the state of a Rackspace next generation cloud server. First generation cloud servers are not supported.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Section Field Description

Server ID

Specify the ID of the server to be managed.

 

Region

Specify the region where the server is located.

 

State

Select one of the following options.

  • Reboot
  • Delete

 

Type of reboot

Specify the reboot action.

  • Soft: The operating system is signaled to restart, which allows for a graceful shutdown and restart of all processes.
  • Hard: Power cycles your server, which performs an immediate shutdown and restart.

Access credentials

Username

Specify the username for the Rackspace account.

 

API Key

Specify the API Key associated with the username.

Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • State change successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the state change was successful. Returns "Yes" if the instance was changed successfully.
