Enable external forms
Note: Nintex Live is known as the Nintex external platform in Nintex for SharePoint 2016. The external platform includes the following external features: Connector actions (live actions), external forms (live forms), Document Generation, and External Start. The external platform is automatically installed and deployed on the Central Administration server; however, the external features are not enabled by default.
You can enable or disable the ability to publish forms to the Nintex external platform, and allow or disallow anonymous user access.
Note: This feature is available in the Classic Forms Designer only.
Note: A database for Nintex Forms must be provisioned before external forms can be enabled. For more information, see Manage database settings.
To enable external forms
- On the SharePoint Central Administration Home page, click Nintex Administration.
-
On the Nintex Administration page, click External forms settings.
For information on this page, see External forms settings page.
-
In the Enable external forms option, click Enable.
When this option is disabled, forms already published to the external forms service remain active. External form submissions will be held in the external forms message queue until retrieved or cleared.
Note: Re-enabling this option will retrieve and process all stored form submissions. Nintex endeavors to hold and deliver all undelivered forms; however, periodic clearing of stale content may be necessary. Please contact Nintex if you have special requirements for holding content or clearing held content.
-
To allow anonymous form submissions, in the Allow anonymous form submissions option, select Yes and then confirm the change.
Note: Allowing anonymous form submissions may require Microsoft server internet licensing.
