Twitter Tweet

Updates the status (What's happening?) of a Twitter account.

Action settings

Following are the fields and options visible in the configuration settings dialog box for this action.

Field Description
Authorizing user

Specify an email address for the authorization request. External email addresses can be used.

Tweet text

The message to post. Limited to 140 characters for text only, or 119 characters with an image. URLs require 22 characters each.

Image to upload

The image file to upload. Supported image formats are PNG, JPG, and GIF.

  • Existing SharePoint Content: Enter the URL to the image within the current site.

  • Content: This is currently not supported.

  • Current item (option available for workflows associated with document libraries): Upload the current file that the workflow is running on.
Output

Store output for this action using the following selections.

  • Tweet successful: Specify a Yes/No variable to store whether or not the tweet was successful. Returns "Yes" if the message was successfully posted.
