Configuration Database | Create | (Available when the configuration database has not yet been defined.) Displays the Add Configuration Database page. See Manage the configuration database. |

Database Name and Authentication | Database Server | Name of the database server containing the new or existing database that you want to use as a content database. Default value: The name of the default SharePoint database server. |
Database Name and Authentication | Database Name | Name of the new or existing database that you want to use as a content database. |
Database Name and Authentication | Connect to an existing database | When selected, uses an existing database. When cleared, creates a new database. |

Failover server | Failover Database Server | Name of the database server to use for failover. |
Service account access | Grant service account access | When Yes is selected, grants access to all content web application service accounts. When No is selected, web applications do not have access to the content database until access is granted using the Web Application activation page. |
