Attended Robot Search Engine

Nintex Attended Robot Search is an advanced search engine based on the dtSearch. It can perform searches across any field type, supports a wide variety of data types, and uses of Boolean operators.

It provides advanced search functionality with features such as:

  • Word search

  • Phrase search

  • Proximity stemming - This extends a search to find different variations of a word, such as a search for drain would find draining, drainage, and drained.

  • Fuzzy searches - It will find words even when misspelled.

  • Wildcards (* and ?)

Wildcards

The wildcard characters, such as the commonly used question mark (?) and an asterisk (*), can be placed in any position in a word.

  • A question mark (?) would be used to match any single character. This is useful when there are various spellings of a word and you want to search for all variants.

    • For example, searching for behavio? r would bring back results of behavior and behaviour.

  • An asterisk (*) would be used to match several characters, can be placed in different places in a word. For example:

    • Searching for consult* would bring back results for several different endings like consultant, consultation, consulting, and consultancy.

    • Searching for w*d would bring back results such as wizard, waited, watered, wondered, and wild.
