Queue Settings and Calendars

To create a Queue

  1. Go to Settings > Queue settings > Add/ Edit queues 

  2. On the Queue page, click + New Queue.

  3. Enter the desired Queue name and click Create . The newly created queue appears in the list below.

To set the operational hours of a Queue

Queue Operational Hours

Using the Operational Hours feature, you can now determine the active time of a queue as well as create calendars to determine the off time of a Queue. Have a system shutdown at night? Want to prioritize one queue over the other? Want to set specific working hours for a queue? Or maybe you simply don't want any automation activities to run on weekends or during holidays? Now it is all under your control using the new Operational Hours feature.

Simply configure the "Operational Hours" of your automations as you wish and then assign it to the relevant queue.

Step 1: Configuring Calendars and Events for Queue Off-Time
  1. Open RPA Console > Settings

  2. Click on Calendars

  3. Click +Add Calendar to create your first Calendar

  4. Insert a unique calendar name (For example, "US Holidays") and click Add

  5. Now you'll see the calendar you just created on the left

  6. Click +Add Event  to configure the calendar's operational hours You can add more than one event. For example, you can create a list of events for all of the US Holidays

  7. Insert an event name (For example, "Christmas") and set the date range of the event For example, Christma's holiday date (the 24th to the 25th of December)

  8. That's it - you are done. Now all is left to do is set the Operational Hours of a queue.

Step 2: Set the Operational Hours of a Queue

  1. Open RPA Console > Settings > Queue

  2. Add a new Queue or edit an existing Queue and configure its operational hours including Time-off hours

  3. Set the Working Hours of a queue including the Time-off (if relevant).

    The optional Time-Off hours are automatically retrieved from the Calendars and Events you created.

To delete a Queue

  1. Go to Settings > Queue settings > Add/ Edit queues 

  2. Click the 3 dots next to the queue you want to delete and click Delete

  3. Confirm the deletion or review the confirmation message and act upon it if prompted.
