Set the Window Size of a Subview
When you use the Open a subview or Open a subform rule action, you can set the window size of the subview or subform using percentages or pixels.
To set the size of the window of the subview or subform, click configure next to the rule action.
You can change the width and height of the window on the Subform settings tab. These fields are optional and use the framework values of 80% by 80% by default. You can enter values in the fields, drag fields from the context browser or use a combination of both. You can also drag a numeric value from the context browser and then add the % symbol to calculate the size as a percentage.
Considerations
- The default subview/subform window size is 80% by 80% of the parent window
- When you use percentages, you must add the percentage sign. If you leave off the percentage sign, the size is calculated as pixels
- If you specify invalid values or use rules to clear values, the settings revert back to 80% by 80%
- If you specify a value less than the minimum size, the window defaults to the minimum size of 70px by 70px
- If you specify a value of more than the maximum size, the window defaults to the maximum size of the browser
- If your subform has preconfigured width settings and you want to change these settings when the subform opens, add a Set a subform's properties rule action after the Open a subform action and configure the Min. Form Width and Max. Form Width properties of the subform such as shown here:
