K2 Distributed Installation

Installing K2 in a distributed environment can become quite complex, especially when network load bearing clusters come into the picture. For information on and an example of K2 in a server Farm environment, see the topic Supported Topologies: Farm.

The order of the components listed below should be followed in a distributed installation.
Each topic listed here assumes the component it describes is the sole installation occurring on the server at the time. If you are going to be installing multiple components on a single server, you will need to reference the topics describing each of those components as some of the pages you are presented with have dynamic content based on previous selections.

See these topics for details concerning the installation of a distributed K2 system:

  1. Install and configure the K2 Server (application server) and database.
  2. Install and configure the K2 Site.
  3. Install the Client components (optional Package and Deployment).
  4. Install the K2 Core.
