Microsoft Visual Studio (Legacy)

This content applies to legacy components (such as K2 Studio and K2 for Visual Studio), legacy assemblies, legacy services or legacy functionality. If you have upgraded from K2 blackpearl 4.7 to K2 Five, these items may still be available in your environment. These legacy items may not be available in new installations of K2 Five. These legacy items may also not be available, supported, or behave as described, in future updates or versions of K2. Please see the legacy component support policy for more information about support for these components.

The K2 for Visual Studio component installs the K2 Designer as an add-in in the Microsoft Visual Studio IDE. This allows developers to use a tool they are familiar with (Visual Studio) to develop, design, and deploy K2 workflows and SmartObjects, as well as adding Process Management tools to debug and repair workflows on a K2 server. The add-in also allows developers to use Visual Studio's native project management and source control integration features for their K2 projects.

K2 for Visual Studio is a client-side component that is typically installed on Developer workstations. For more on using K2 for Visual Studio, please see the User Guide.
