With both Use Native SQL Execution and On Different SQL Server fields set to False the following will occur:
With native execution and On Different server set to False, K2 will ignore the linked server component and connect directly into the the Custom Application SQL Server.
‘Call B’ as illustrated above will not require Delegation of credentials with Kerberos.
This relies entirely on the filtering and query structure capabilities of service objects in general and will not allow for complex ADO.NET provider queries.
This approach is exactly the same as any custom developed Service Object, as typically found on K2 Underground.
