This check ensures that the Application Initialization IIS role is enable / installed. This however differs between the different operating system versions that we support.

OS version What? Repairable?

6.2 (Windows Server 2012 and Windows 8)

Application Initialization is an IIS Server Role that needs to be added in the Server Manager.

Yes. One can repair this task.

6.1 (Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7)

Application Initialization is a separate IIS module that needs to be installed.

No. We cannot repair this task for you, since it is a non-redist installer that the user needs to run. The user is given a link where to download the module.

6.0 (Windows Server 2008 and Windows Vista)

Application Initialization is not supported in this version of Windows / IIS.

No. This is an info task that informs the user that he’ll need to upgrade to a newer version of IIS (i.e. Windows) to ensure optimal Forms performance.
