Forms
K2 smartforms built with the browser-based workflow design tools (e.g. K2 Designer) will be listed in the Categories node, under the appropriate category where the Forms exist. You can view the properties for a Form by selecting a Form in the Categories view, or manage the Form using the links displayed on the page when you select a Form in the Categories node.
The following tasks are exposed on the Form Properties page:
To delete a form, follow the steps below:
- Select a Form from a category folder and click Delete.
- The Delete Form dialog opens. Click OK to confirm that you want to delete the Form.
To move a form, follow the steps below:
- Select a Form from a category folder and click Move.
- The Move Form page opens. Select a destination folder for the form, and click OK.
- Click OK on the Move Form page to confirm that you want to move the Form.
- Refresh the Categories node by right-clicking on the destination folder, and click the Refresh Menu option. You should see that the Form has moved to the new location
To make a copy of a Form in a new location, follow the steps below:
- Select a Form from a category folder and click Copy.
- The Copy Form page opens. Specify the form's new name and Category for the Form, and click OK.
- Click OK on the Copy Form page to confirm that you want to copy the Form.
- Refresh the Categories node by right-clicking on the destination folder, and click the Refresh Menu option. You should see that the Form has been copied to the new location
To run a Form, follow the steps below:
- Select a form from a category folder and click Run on the form properties page.
- A new browser tab or window will open, displaying the Form as if it was opened directly using the Form URL.
Some Forms may require you to provide Parameter values before the Form will run. To run a Form with parameters, follow the steps below:
- Select a Form from a category folder and click Run With Parameters on the Form properties page.
- On the page that opens, provide values for the Parameters defined for the Form, then click the Run button to run the Form with the parameter values provided. (The page will display a preview of the URL for the Form at the bottom of the page, you can also click this URL to open the Form).
You may want to test a Form without relying on any previous caching that may have been done for that Form. To test a form without using cached definitions or values for the Form, follow the steps below:
- Select a Form from a category folder and click Run Test on the Form properties page.
- A new browser tab or window will open, displaying the Form as if it was opened directly using the Form URL.
