K2 Designer for SharePoint - Workflow Approval
The Workflow Approval feature in the K2 Designer for SharePoint is a feature that allows a K2 Workflow to first be approved before being deployed to the K2 Server. The approvers also have the ability to edit the Workflow before approving and deploying the Workflow. The default approval Workflow that is followed with the Workflow Approval feature is shown below:
After designing a Workflow in the K2 Designer for SharePoint the Workflow illustrated above will start sending the designed Workflow to the specified approver. The approver can then either Approve, Decline or send the Workflow back to the workflow designer for rework.
Important Considerations:
- The Workflow Approval feature is only available for Workflow designed in the K2 Designer for SharePoint
- The Workflow Approval feature needs to be activated before it is available for use in the K2 Designer for SharePoint
- Once the Workflow Approval feature has been activated all Workflows designed in the K2 Designer for SharePoint will go through the Workflow Approval Workflow.
- The Workflow Approval feature can be activated per site collection.
- The default Workflow Approval Workflow currently cannot be changed.
Rights and Permissions
The Browser User that is configuring the K2 Workflow Approval feature in Central Administration or on the Site Collection Settings requires K2 Admin rights.
