K2 Workspace - Export Reports to Excel error

Troubleshooting - Export Reports to Excel error

When using Microsoft Excel 2010 and trying to export a K2 Workspace report to Excel, the following error is displayed when selecting to Open the file:

The file is corrupt and cannot be opened

Solution

Perform the following steps to rectify the problem:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel 2010
  2. Click on File > Options
  3. Select Trust Center > Trust Center Settings
  4. Select Protected View
  5. Uncheck Enable protected view for files located in potentially unsafe locations
  6. Click OK
  7. Click OK
  8. Restart Microsoft Excel 2010
  9. Go to K2 Workspace and select to export report to Excel
  10. Select to Open the file
