Line Rule - General Properties
The General Properties window of the Line Rule can be accessed by right-clicking the line and selecting Properties. The General Properties define the basic components of a line namely the line's name and description.

| Name | Contains the name of the Line Rule which differentiates the current line rule from any existing or future line rules. |
| Description | Supplies the Line Rule with a description |
| Metadata | Supplies the Line Rule with metadata |
| Label | Supplies the Line Rule with a label that will be displayed on the design canvas |
