K2 Studio Home Tab - New Project
Clicking on the New button on the Home Tab will open the new K2 Project, K2 Process and K2 SmartObject dialogue screen. The figure below shows the default K2 Project creation dialogue:
K2 Project
The K2 Project is the container for a process or processes. Once the project has been created the K2 Design can add processes to the K2 Project.

To create a project with an item already included in the project. Select the K2 Process or K2 SmartObject option when creating the K2 Type project. |
Item Name
Browse to the location that you want to save the project to, enter the name of the project in the Project text box and click Create. The Process dialogue window will then display. Supply a Process name in the Name text box and click Create.

| K2 Type | Base project which can contain additional process types. |
| K2 Templates | The K2 Template enables K2 Processes to be added to the K2 Project |
| Name | The user defined name for the project which will contain the process items associated with it. |
| Location | The location (i.e. local machine hard drive) where the project folders will be saved. |
