Delete a plugin
Delete a plugin to remove it from your Nintex Workflow or Nintex Workflow for Office 365 tenant. Deleted plugins do not appear in the Form designer toolbox and cannot be added to form designs. If a form design uses a deleted plugin, you will need to remove the plugin before you can publish the form.
Uploaded and externally-hosted plugins behave differently in published forms when deleted:
- Uploaded: The plugin will be immediately removed from all published forms. Already published forms that use the plugin will display errors. You will need to remove the plugin from the form design and republish the forms.
- Externally hosted: Already published forms that use the plugin are not affected and will continue to use the plugin, but you will need to remove the plugin if you want to edit or republish the form.
Whether a form plugin is uploaded or externally hosted is displayed in the Hosted by column in the Form plugins page:
- Nintex means a plugin is uploaded.
- URL means a plugin is externally hosted.
If you want to save a copy of the plugin before you delete it, click the menu to the right of the plugin and click Source. You can copy and paste the source code to a local file.
