Multi-step upgrades for Nintex DocGen
While it is rare, in some cases deprecation of legacy features of Nintex DocGen are required. Salesforce's package-validation system requires some versions of Nintex DocGen to be performed in multiple stages, depending upon the version you currently have installed.
For example, if the package version you have installed is version 18.2, and you wanted to update to the latest version of Nintex DocGen, it would require a multi-upgrade path to install the latest version. Your upgrade path would look like this:
The download links to both versions 18.10 and 20.10.5 have been provided in the sections below.
It is recommended to upgrade to the latest version to get the latest features, improvements, and security enhancements.
There are two potential paths that require a muti-step upgrade, and in some cases, like trying to get to the latest version of Nintex DocGen, you may have to perform both upgrade paths:
Multi-step upgrade for version prior to 18.10
If you are on a version prior to version 18.10, and want to upgrade to a version later than 18.10, you will need to perform a multi-step install process.
Note: It is always recommended to update a sandbox or test environment first before updating production or live environments.

First download and install Nintex DocGen version 18.10.

Follow the normal upgrade steps to install the package.

After the install completes, download a newer version of Nintex DocGen. If you wanted to download and install the newest version of Nintex DocGen you will need to update to version 20.10.5. It is recommended when performing this update process to upgrade to 20.10.5.

Install the new package following the same upgrade steps.
Multi-step upgrade for version later than 18.10 but prior to 20.10.5
If you are on a version newer than 18.10 but on a version prior to 20.10.5, and you want to upgrade version 20.15 or later, you need to perform a multi-step install process.
Note: It is always recommended to update a sandbox or test environment first before updating production or live environments.

First download and install Nintex DocGen version 20.10.5.
