DocGen metadata

You can view the metadata for a DocGen package A customizable package that consists of your Salesforce data, documents, and delivery configurations for documents you want to generate. in the DocGen Metadata pane. If a DocGen Package is configured with delivery options, relationships, and/or templates, a metadata card is displayed for each configuration. The following can be configured to display metadata:

• DocGen Packages
• Relationships from Starting Objects

Note: The metadata card for Relationships from Starting Objects displays only when you add a child or add a lookup to the Relationship from the Starting Object.

• Relationships from Other Objects
• Stand Alone Data Relationships
• SOQL Query Relationships
• Apex Data Relationships
• Templates
• Delivery Options

Depending on the standard object, you may see metadata information for Relationships from Other Objects. For each relationship that you create an alias for, you will see a drop-down arrow in the metadata card with the alias that you created.

View DocGen metadata

To view the metadata for a DocGen Package, perform the steps below in a DocGen Package:

1. Navigate to a DocGen Package.
2. In the upper right-hand corner, click (down triangle) > View Metadata. The DocGen Metadata pane appears and displays metadata for the DocGen Package.

Note: A You must first configure a delivery option, relationship, or template for your DocGen Package to view the corresponding metadata.
