Salesforce Files Storage Location

Use Salesforce Files Storage Location to store attachments directly to your Salesforce files instead of the Notes and Attachments related list. You can do this by changing the settings in Salesforce. See Using Salesforce Files.

You can enable this by using the Salesforce File as Storage Location delivery method.

Store attachments to Salesforce files

You can enable your Salesforce attachments to store to Salesforce files.

  1. Click the Nintex Admin tab.

    The Nintex Admin Home left navigation displays.

  1. Under Configuration, click Settings.
  2. Under the Organization-Wide Settings box, select Salesforce Files.
  3. Click Save.

Test the Salesforce File as Storage Location in the DocGen Package Tester

Once you add the Salesforce File as Storage Location to your DocGen Package, you can store your attachments as Salesforce files.

  1. Navigate to the App Launcher by selecting the app launcher in the upper left corner, select Nintex DocGen.
  2. Select the DocGen Packages tab.
  1. Select the DocGen Package that contains the Salesforce File as Storage Location.
  2. Select a Record to use to test run the DocGen Package.
  3. Select the Salesforce File as Storage Location delivery method.
    • The delivery option will be called whatever you named it in the Delivery Option Name field.
  4. Click Run Test or Run DocGen Package.
  5. Once the DocGen Package has run successfully, you will see a success banner.

Verify attachments have been saved to Salesforce files

  1. Navigate to the App Launcher by selecting the in the upper left corner and select the Sales Console.
  2. Click the drop down arrow , and select Files.
  3. Select the Owned by Me tab on the left panel.
  4. All of the files will be sent to your Salesforce files.
