PDF stamps
You can use PDF stamps to insert text, images, or rectangles into your output files of your DocGen Packages. PDF stamps are often used for applying watermarks and redactions.

Access PDF stamps

Open a DocGen Package.

Click the Delivery tab.

Click the PDF Stamps tab.
Note: In Salesforce Classic, open the DocGen Package and click the PDF stamps related list.
Add PDF stamps to output documents
You can only add a PDF stamp from the PDF Stamps tab in a DocGen Package.

Follow the steps to access PDF stamps in your DocGen Package.

Click Add PDF Stamp.

Complete the required and optional fields (listed below) as needed and click Save.
Test PDF stamps

Open a DocGen Package that contains a PDF stamp.

Under Test DocGen Package, select the record, contact, and document selection.

Select the test delivery option with the PDF stamp.

Click Run DocGen Package, or, if this is the first time you have tested, click Authorize and Test.
The app generates the document applies any options you've specified in the DocGen Package.
PDF stamp field reference
Field | PDF Stamp Type | Description |

PDF Stamp Name | All | Add a name for your PDF stamp. This is for internal use only. The user will not see the name of the stamp. |

Select what type of PDF stamp you want to insert into your DocGen Package files. Your options are:

Pages | All | Enter the page number of the documents you want to be stamped. A value of 1 stamps the first page of your DocGen Package output file. A value of 9 stamps page 9 of your DocGen Package output file. You can also enter a blank value to stamp all pages, use a dash to indicate a range, or use commas to indicate non-consecutive pages. |
Rotation | All | Enter the degree number (0-360) that you want to rotate your PDF stamp. |
Vertical Alignment | All | Select Top, Middle, or Bottom to vertically align your PDF stamp on your pages. |
Vertical Offset | All | Enter the number of pixels you want to offset your stamp by. A positive pixel value moves your PDF stamp up; a negative pixel value moves your PDF stamp down. |
Horizontal Alignment | All | Select Left, Right, or Center to justify your PDF stamp on your documents. |
Horizontal Offset | All | Enter the number of pixels you want to offset your PDF Stamp by. A positive value moves the stamp to the right, a negative value moves the stamp to the left. |
Opacity | All | Enter in a percentage (0-100) of transparency for your stamp. The default is 100% opaque. |
Order | All | Enter a number to control the order in which your PDF stamps are created on your document (useful if you have multiple stamps). |
Description | All | Enter a description of the PDF stamp. This is for internal use only. |
Delivery Options | All | Choose what deliveries trigger your PDF stamp. |
DocGen Package Templates | All | Choose which templates receive a PDF stamp. |
Image ID | Image |
Enter the image ID. You can either enter static text or insert a field tag that references an ID. To find your image ID, switch to Salesforce Classic and go to the Documents object. Select the folder the image is stored in, and click on the image. The value at the end of the URL is the image ID. |
Scale By | Image | Scale your image either by pixel or by percentage of the original image size. |
Keep Proportions | Image | Checking this box will maintain the width/height ratio of the original image. |
Height | Image, Rectangle | Enter the desired height of the image in pixels. |
Width | Image, Rectangle | Enter the desired width of your image in pixels. |
Stamp Text | Text | Enter the string of text to be stamped onto your document. |
Font | Text | Select a font to be used for the string of text entered in the Stamp Text field. |
Font Size | Text | Enter the size of the font for the string of text in the Stamp Text field. |
Text Color | Text | Choose the color of your font for the string of text in the Stamp Text field. |
Background Color | Text, Rectangle | Choose the color of the solid rectangle surrounding your text (if type is text) or of a solid rectangle alone (if type is rectangle). |
Background Padding | Text | Enter the number of pixels of padding to add to the rectangle surrounding your text. |
Style | Text | Select Bold, Italic, and/or Underline to style your text. |
