Add a button that generates documents in Classic Experience

Add buttons to the page layouts of an object to generate documents. Nintex Drawloop DocGen® for Salesforce comes with buttons configured for six standard objects: Accounts, Cases, Contacts, Contracts, Leads, and Opportunities. You can add these buttons to any page layout for these objects. For any other object (including custom objects), you must select the object to create the button, and then add the button to the corresponding page layouts.

Add buttons to page layouts

You add buttons to the page layouts of an object to generate documents.

To add a button to page layouts

  1. From the Force.com app menu, select Nintex DocGen, and then click DocGen Admin.

    Tip: You can also select this from Lightning with the App Launcher.

  2. Under Classic Experience Buttons. click Basic Buttons.

  3. (Optional) From Custom Object, select an object, and then click Add button to selected object.

  4. Take one of the following actions.

    • Click Enabled for All pages for one of the objects. This adds single-record buttons to all the page layouts for this object.

    • Click + (plus sign) to expand the object and select the page layouts on which you want a single-record button added.

      Tip: Use Search to filter the list of objects.

  5. Click Save.
