Properties pane

The Properties pane can be displayed on the right of the Nintex Forms designer.

Use this pane to work with form design and individual control settings. Form design varies by designer. Responsive forms use themes while classic forms use layouts.

Responsive designer

Manage the font and color scheme of your form.

Section

 Field Description

Global styles

Primary Color for primary items, such as Save buttons, icons, and hover states.

 

 Secondary Color for secondary items, such as Cancel buttons and borders.

 

 Page Color for the background behind the form.

 

 Form Color for the background of the form.

Fonts

(unlabeled) Font for text on the form.

 

Text

Color for text on the form.

 

Title/input size

Size of text used for control titles and input.

 

Description size

Size of text used for control descriptions.

 

Advanced styles

Opens or closes the Advanced styles section to configure input control and button colors and fonts. Advanced styles override global styles.

Advanced styles field descriptions

Section

 Field Description
Input style Input Border Color for borders of input controls. Overrides associated global styles for secondary items.
  Input background Color for backgrounds of input controls.
  Input font Color for text shown in input controls. Overrides global styles for Fonts > Text.
Buttons Primary Color for primary button controls, such as Save buttons. Overrides associated global styles for primary items.
  Primary font Color of text shown in primary button controls, such as Save buttons. Overrides associated global styles for text.
  Secondary Color for secondary button controls, such as Cancel buttons. Overrides associated global styles for secondary items.
  Secondary font Color of text shown in secondary button controls, such as Cancel buttons. Overrides associated global styles for text.
(unlabeled) Reset to global styles Removes overrides of global styles.

Configure the selected control.

Selection Description
General Displays relevant settings for the selected control, such as text, name, and associated control.
Appearance Displays relevant settings for the selected control, such as visibility.
More Settings Opens the control settings dialog box for the selected control.

Classic designer

Manage device layouts.

Selection Description
(layout name) Displays the selected layout. For example, clicking Desktop displays the Desktop layout for the form.
Add More Layouts

Lists available layouts to add to the form.

Note: The default layout is Desktop.

The following layouts can be added.

  • Generic Tablet
  • Smart Phone
  • iPad
  • Windows Tablet
  • Android Tablet
  • Nintex Mobile Phone
  • Nintex Mobile Tablet
Layout Settings Displays the Settings - Layout dialog box.
Replace With Layout Regenerates the current layout using controls from the selected layout.
Delete Layout

Deletes the currently selected layout.

Note: The default layout Desktop cannot be deleted.

Configure the selected control.

Formatting Displays relevant settings for the selected control, such as CSS class and padding width.
