Yammer message

Posts or sends a message. Use this action to post a message ("What are you working on?") to your Yammer account, send a message to a group, or send a direct message.

Note: This is an external action and may execute on servers running outside your data center Centralized locations used to house servers used by Nintex for remote storage, processing, or distribution of data. Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Authorizing user

Specify an email address to receive the authorization request for the action. External email addresses can be used.

Message to post

Enter the message to post.

Multiple-line messages can be specified by using Build String.

Note: Topic can be included in the message by using a hashtag. For example, "#NintexLive" to add a topic for NintexLive. A maximum of 10 topics can be added to the message.

Group name

Specify the name of the group to post the message.

Direct to Yammer email

Specify a Yammer email address to direct the message to a user.

Post successful

Specify a Boolean variable that will store whether or not the message post was successful. Returns "Yes" if the message was successfully posted.

Message ID

Specify a workflow variable to store the ID of the message posted.

Message URL

Specify a workflow variable to store the URL of the message posted.

Topic ID

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the ID of the topics.

Topic name

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the name of the topics.

Topic URL

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the URL of the topics.
