Twitter Tweet

Update the status (What's happening?) of a Twitter account.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Authorizing user

Specify an email address to receive the authorization request for the action. External email addresses can be used.

Tweet text

The message to post. Limited to 140 characters for text only, or 119 characters with an image.

Image to upload

The image file to upload. Supported image formats are PNG, JPG, and GIF.

  • Existing SharePoint Content: Enter the URL to the image within the current site.

  • Content: This is currently not supported.

  • Current item (option available for workflows associated with document libraries): Upload the current file that the workflow is running on.
Tweet successful

Specify a Boolean variable to store whether or not the tweet was successful. Returns "Yes" if the message was successfully posted.
