Twitter search

Returns Twitter tweets that match a specified query.

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Authorizing user

Specify an email address to receive the authorization request for the action. External email addresses can be used.

Text to search

The text to search for.

Tweeted in

Find tweets based on the language the tweet was written in.

Number of Tweets to return

The maximum number of tweets to return for the search.

Result type

Select one of the following items.

  • Mixed: Include both popular and real time results in the search.
  • Popular: Return only the most popular results in the search.
  • Recent: Return only the most recent results in the search.
Number of results

Specify an integer variable to store the total number of results returned.

From user

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the users who tweeted.

To user

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the users who received the tweet.

Tweet message

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the tweets in the search returned.

Source application

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the source application which the tweets was posted from.

Tweeted in

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the language of the tweets.

Profile image URL

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the tweeter's profile image URL.

Date Tweet posted

Specify a collection or dictionary variable to store the date of the tweet posted.
