Salesforce Chatter post file
Attaches a file to a post on Salesforce Chatter. Use this action to make a post to share information and collaborate with other people across your organization.
Note: This is an external action and may execute on servers running outside your data center Centralized locations used to house servers used by Nintex for remote storage, processing, or distribution of data. Action settings
Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:
- Double-click the action.
- Click on the action and then click Configure.

Username |
Specify the Salesforce username. |
Password |
Specify the Salesforce password. |
Security token |
Specify the Salesforce security token. Note: For more information on security tokens, refer to the following topic in Salesforce online help: "Resetting Your Security Token." |
Message |
Specify a message or comment about the file. Maximum: 5000 characters. |
Recipient |
Specify the recipient of the post.

Group name / User's email address |
If Group is selected as the recipient, specify the group name. If User is selected as the recipient, specify the user's email address. If Followers is selected as the recipient, leave blank. |
File to upload |
Select one of the following items.
Note: The maximum file size allowed is 100MB. |
File name |
Specify a filename and extension for the attachment to appear on the post. |
File description |
Specify the description for the file. Descriptions can be up to 1000 characters. |
Post successful |
Specify a Boolean variable to store whether or not the post was successful. Returns "Yes" if the feed was posted successfully. |
Post ID |
Specify a text variable to store the ID of the post. |
Post URL |
Specify a text variable to store the URL of the post. |
