Office 365 new blog post

Creates a new post in an SharePoint Online blog site.

Note: This is an external action and may execute on servers running outside your data center Centralized locations used to house servers used by Nintex for remote storage, processing, or distribution of data. Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Blog site URL

The URL of the blog site to post to.

Post title

Title of the post.

Post content

The content of the post.

Use the Rich Text editor to display formatted text, pictures, hyperlinks and HTML in a workflow action. Click in the email body area to enter or edit content.

  • Due to some security enhancements done to the rich text editor some HTML tags are no longer supported. For more information, see HTML tags not supported .
  • If no font is specified, then font is inherited from the platform used. For example, if an email is sent using Outlook, then its default font is used (typically Times New Roman).

Publish date

The date to publish the blog.

 

Publish

Select one of the following items.

  • Publish: Publishes the blog post. If Publish date is set in the future, the post is published on the specified date.
  • Save As Draft: Saves the blog post as a draft.
Categories

Specify the categories for the blog post.

Username

A username with permissions to create a new post in the specified blog site.

Password

The password for the above username.

Link to blog post

Specify a workflow variable to store the URL to the blog post.

Permalink to blog post

Specify a workflow variable to store the Permalink URL to the blog post.

Post ID

Specify a workflow variable to store the post ID of the blog post.

Successful post

Specify a Boolean variable to store whether or not the posting of the blog was successful. Returns "Yes" if the post was successfully posted.
