Microsoft Azure create virtual machine

Note:

This is an external action and may execute on servers running outside your data center Centralized locations used to house servers used by Nintex for remote storage, processing, or distribution of data. Nintex has a number of regional data centers available for Nintex for Office 365. For information about Nintex data centers and where your data center is located, contact your Nintex account or territory manager. region. Action is available only with the Nintex for Office 365 Enterprise Edition.

Creates a virtual machine in Microsoft Azure.

Note: Microsoft Azure actions are supported for use only with the Azure Classic Portal (manage.windowsazure.com)

Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

Double-click the action.
Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field	Description
Certificate	Specify the certificate file (.pfx) to be used for authenticating the service request. This certificate must be associated with the Microsoft Azure subscription. Existing SharePoint Content: Enter the URL of the certificate within the current site. Content: This is currently not supported. Current item: Upload the current certificate that the workflow is running on. This option is only available on document libraries.
Certificate password	Specify the password for the certificate.
Subscription ID	Specify the subscription ID associated with the certificate.
Deployment slot	Select one of the following options. Production Staging
DNS name	Specify a name for the virtual machine. The name must meet the following criteria. The name must contain between 3 and 15 characters. The name can contain only letters, numbers, and hyphens. The name must start with a letter and must end with a letter or a number. Note: The specified name is also used to create a cloud service and storage account.
Image	Specify the name of the disk image to use to create the Windows virtual machine. Note: To retrieve OS images available for the subscription, use Microsoft Azure retrieve image.
Size	Specify the size of the virtual machine. If left blank, Small size will be used. Note: Refer to Microsoft Azure portal for available role sizes.
Username	Specify a username for the virtual machine.
Password	Specify the password for the username. The password must contain at least 8 characters, including 3 of the following: a lower case character, an upper case character, a number or a special character.
Location	Specify the location to deploy the virtual machine by selecting one of the following options. Affinity Group Region
Region/Affinity group	Specify the corresponding region or affinity group based on the selected location.
