Exchange Online update calendar item

Update a calendar item in Exchange Online.

Note: This is an external action and may execute on servers running outside your data center Centralized locations used to house servers used by Nintex for remote storage, processing, or distribution of data. Action settings

Do one of the following to open the Action configuration window:

  • Double-click the action.
  • Click on the action and then click Configure.

Field Description
Calendar item ID

Specify the ID of the calendar item to update.

Subject

Specify the subject of the calendar item.

Location

Specify the location of the calendar item.

Message body

Specify the message of the calendar item in either plain text or rich text. Rich text supports HTML text formatting but does not include tables and images.

Use the Rich Text editor to display formatted text, pictures, hyperlinks and HTML in a workflow action. Click in the email body area to enter or edit content.

  • Due to some security enhancements done to the rich text editor some HTML tags are no longer supported. For more information, see HTML tags not supported .
  • If no font is specified, then font is inherited from the platform used. For example, if an email is sent using Outlook, then its default font is used (typically Times New Roman).

 

Time zone

Specify a time zone to use for the calendar item's dates.

Default value: UTC.

Start time

Specify the start time.

 

End time

Specify the end time.

 

All day event

Specify whether or not the event is an all day event.

Set reminder?

Specify whether or not to update the item's reminder with the values specified for Reminder (minutes).

Reminder (minutes)

Specify the number of minutes prior to the item's start time that the reminder will trigger.

Show time as

Specify how the time for the item will appear on the calendar.

Importance

Specify the level of importance of the calendar item.

Categories

Specify a collection or dictionary variable for the list of categories.

Private

Specify whether or not the item is private.

Required

Specify a collection or dictionary variable for the list of required attendees' email addresses.

Optional

Specify a collection or dictionary variable for the list of optional attendees' email addresses.

Request response

Specify whether or not to request responses to the meeting invitation.

Allow new time proposals

When requesting responses, specify whether or not to allow new time proposals from attendees.

Authorizing user

Important: Due to Microsoft deprecating basic authentication, the Username and Password fields in the configuration of this action has been replaced with the new Authorizing user field. If you have existing workflows using the old version of the action, you must add the action to your workflow again and reconfigure it. Existing workflows with the old version of the action will continue to run till basic authentication is deprecated by Microsoft. After it's deprecated the action will fail at execution if you don't replace and reconfigure the action.

Specify an email address to receive the authorization request for the action. External email addresses can be used.

Exchange version

Specify the version of Exchange Online.

User to impersonate

Specify a user to impersonate. This allows an account with the appropriate permission to update an item in another user's calendar.

Update successful

Specify a Boolean variable to store whether or not the update was successful. Returns "Yes" if the item was updated successfully.
