LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol)

LDAP is a protocol for communicating with identity stores, which includes Windows Active Directory. The K2 LDAP user manager is designed for LDAP-compatible systems with protocol version 3 or higher. One such system is OpenLDAP. For information on configuring OpenLDAP for use with K2, see the KB article: KB001329. For more information on User Managers in K2, see the topic Introduction to User Managers.

The K2 LDAP user manager is expected to be configurable for any LDAP-compatible system with protocol version 3 or higher. However, only Microsoft’s Active Directory has been tested by K2.

For more information on preparing to use LDAP with K2, see the topic K2 LDAP User Manager Preparation.
