iOS push notifications
Push notifications are only available for K2 Cloud releases.
See the Mobile topic in the K2 Cloud documentation for information on configuring how K2 Workspace (Mobile) apps on mobile devices interact with your K2 environment.
When a new workflow task is assigned to a user, the task related push notification links directly to that task. For example:
- A task is created and assigned to me.
- I get the first push notification, that says “You have a new task in your inbox.” I tap that push notification, which opens the workspace app to whatever screen I was on (in this case, the inbox).
- Then I get a second push notification, with the title of the workflow and the folio, that takes me directly to the task.
OR
- A task is created and assigned to me.
- I get the first push notification, that says “You have a new task in your inbox.”
- I don’t tap that push notification.
- Then I get a second push notification, with the title of the workflow and the folio, that takes me directly to the task.
- To allow all task notifications to come through without first having to tap the initial general notification, in the device settings, turn off the Notification Grouping setting (under Settings > Notifications > Workspace).
- The device lock screen only shows the general push notification once (if you changed the Notification Grouping from Off to Automatic/By App) after that, only the task notification will be executed.
