Canvas

The K2 Workflow Designer Canvas is a user friendly dynamic environment that caters for a quick and easy way of designing business workflows. The canvas visually represents information about the workflow that you are building.

The canvas contains a Start step and one Placeholder step when the K2 Workflow Designer is opened for the first time. You can start building your workflow by dragging steps onto the canvas.

Each step is represented by an icon. This icon indicates the type of action that is taken at this stage of the workflow. After dragging steps from the Toolbox, on to the canvas, you can do the following:

• Configure outcomes.
• Add participants and business logic.
• Use the Configuration Panel and / or the Context Browser to keep the steps organized.
• Apply workflow rules on steps with in the workflow, by accessing the Rules Designer.

The canvas grid is represented by dots rather than grid lines, and steps dragged onto the canvas easily snaps to the grid.
