Installation Prerequisites

K2 connect for SAP is an add on component to an existing K2 Five installation. K2 connect for SAP requires K2 Five 5.0 as a prerequisite along with the additional prerequisites discussed in this section. Some dependencies are not redistributable directly, and must be obtained from the third party vendor, see the Software section for further details.

System Prerequisites
Hardware*	Applies to the specifications required for the machines capable of supporting a K2 connect for SAP installation. For any queries, please consult your local K2 representative. These specifications are subject to change without notice.
Software*	Applies to the software prerequisites that are required and must be installed to support K2 connect for SAP.

Hardware

The following guidelines should be followed for hardware selection:

When installing a single server environment, it is recommended that more RAM and a larger processor be installed for better system performance.

Software

K2 connect for SAP will install once the minimum installation requirements are met. See the table below for detailed information on software requirements.

Microsoft	MS Framework Classes for Visual C++ 7.1
Microsoft	Microsoft Visual Studio (with K2 for Visual Studio). See the K2 connect Compatibility, Integration and Support matrix for details on the required versions and editions of Visual Studio.

Licensing

Every K2 connect Server is installed on the same physical machine as the K2 Server and each of them must be licensed. The K2 connect client tools do not require a license, but they require a connection to a licensed K2 connect Server before you can view SAP BAPIs and publish Service Objects.

The K2 connect for SAP license is a standalone license, and licenses a K2 connect for SAP instance only.
