Nintex for Office 365

Microsoft has retired the SharePoint Add-In app model. As a result, Nintex Workflow for Office 365 and Nintex Forms for Office 365 Add-Ins are no longer available. If you attempt to access these apps in SharePoint Online , a message is displayed indicating that the service is no longer available.

  • Workflows created using the Add-In no longer run and are no longer accessible.

  • Forms created using the Add-In no longer open, and users can no longer access or submit these forms.

Workflows that were upgraded using the migration tooling prior to the retirement will continue to run and are accessible in Nintex Workflow.

Forms that were upgraded to the New Responsive format and moved to SharePoint Framework (SPFx) will continue to function as expected.

If no prior migration was completed, impacted processes and forms must be rebuilt or replaced.

For assistance, contact your Nintex account representative or Nintex Support.

Licensing and access

Access to create forms depends on your Nintex Workflow licensing and permissions:

  • If your tenant has a forms license (which is available as an add-on to Nintex Workflow) and you have permission to create forms, you will see the option to create list forms.

  • If your tenant does not have a forms license, you are redirected to the Nintex Workflow tenant when accessing the app.

  • If your tenant has a forms license but you do not have permission to create forms, you are also redirected to the Nintex Workflow tenant.
